Building Academic Excellence

8th Grade Experience

Our eighth graders took part in a hands-on, experiential learning experience filled with creativity and discovery connected to their study of Washington, D.C. Students dug for treasures to uncover fossils, cracked codes, learned interesting knots, and designed their own codes using magazines and other materials.

  • Two smiling boys work together on a science project in a classroom, using yellow tools to manipulate soil and other materials in a foil pan.
  • A smiling young person stands in front of a whiteboard covered in colorful sticky notes and handwritten text.
  • A young person in a black t-shirt concentrates on tying a knot with green cord in their hands.

Band Practice

In honor of National Arts in Education Week, our 6th graders played their very first notes on their band instruments! Watching their faces light up with every sound was pure magic.

  • Two young boys play trumpets in a band practice, focused on their music.
  • A young girl plays the flute in a school band practice, focused on her music.
  • A young man with braided hair conducts with a baton, wearing a light grey polo shirt and khaki pants.
